Assistant access
KiJi can let an AI app you use, such as Claude, Cursor, or VS Code, read your KiJi library so you can ask it about your reading.
- Off by default. Nothing is shared until you turn on Settings → Assistant → Let assistants read your KiJi library. You can turn it off again at any time.
- Read-only unless you allow changes. Assistants can read what you share. They can mark articles read, star them, or save them only if you also turn on Allow assistants to make changes, which is off by default. They cannot delete articles or change your feeds.
- Runs on your computer. KiJi answers the AI app directly on your computer. Your library is not sent to us or kept on any KiJi server.
- You choose what is shared. In Settings → Assistant, pick which stations assistants can see, and whether feeds without a station, saved articles, the article you’re reading, and your notes and highlights are included. Notes and highlights stay off until you turn them on.
- Content goes to the AI app you ask. When you ask an assistant about your reading, the articles it reads go to that AI app, which may send them to its AI service. That app’s own privacy policy applies to them.
- Reset Access. If you connected an app by web address, Reset Access in Settings → Assistant replaces its key: the old key stops working and every connected app is disconnected.
